Dr. Piya Sen Gupta

Dr Piya Sen Gupta has been a Consultant Diabetologist and Obesity Physician at Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospitals since 2018. Her clinical work involves managing patients with diabetes at all stages of the diabetes spectrum from new to advanced diabetes, in the setting of obesity clinics, community diabetes clinics, complex diabetes clinics and in inpatients with diabetes.

Research interests include utilising therapeutics for type 2 diabetes and obesity including pharmacotherapy, endoscopic procedures and combinations thereof. She was the Association of British Clinical Diabetologists’ Research Fellow 2013-2017 and a Diabetes UK Clinical Champion 2019-2020.
